Colorbatize Your Bookshelf
There is a whole flickr group dedicated to arranging bookshelves by color. I saw it done on some random indie-creative blog, and I thought it looked really cool. Better, at least, than the random mish-mosh of non-organization that I had going before. So I did it to ours:

I'm excited to see that bookshelf in person...you must have been a pretty board :)
but..... what about when you're looking for a specific book? you know it by author, or its title... but color? that's a little too barbaric. i think librarians stick to the alphabetical art for a reason.
then again... how many books can a person own? enough to really worry about that? not for a while, at least.
